Sires in Use
"When sourcing polled genetics from overseas, we select bulls that we see will be enormously beneficial to our own herd".
MR V8 139/7 (S)
S: MR V8 380/6 (IMP US) (H) +
D: MMISS V8 797/6 +
We are very impressed with this bull’s overall quality and correctness. He has a strong “sirey” outlook, more than ample length, nice even topline and a super tight sheath.
Sired by dark USA multiple trait leader, MR V8 380/6.
MR V8 139/7 (p/s) is a Karu, Superstroke and Avery grandson and his polled lineage goes back to V8 Ranch’s polled matriarch Miss V8 98/6.
Whether it’s carcass traits, show performance or paddock results, MR V8 139/7 (p/s) is backed by outstanding quality all the way through his pedigree.
First calves due Christmas 2014!
MARBLEHEAD 69 is a young American smooth polled bull we see a lot of promise in.
His sire Mr. Legend Manso 222 is a mammoth of a bull in stature, a beautiful animal bred from two legendary great producers, BNA the Deacon 253 and JDH Lady Audra. This genetic combination is a consistent reliable match that has proven itself, time and time again.
MARBLEHEAD 69's dam is a nice, moderate framed and smooth polled cow, as is her dam and maternal grand dam. All 3 cows have thrown approximately 75% smooth polled (occasionally scurred) when bred to horned bulls. A consistent, highly maternal, proven female line tracing back to the multiple trait leader Mr V8 789, and the polled Minter breeding.
He's quiet natured, stands correct on strong feet and legs, good hump placement, good body depth and thickness. Over all masculine sirey look and has matured to above moderate frame.
MR V8 279/7 (P)
MR V8 279/7 (P) is absolute smooth polled, structurally well balanced, good pigment and royally bred. He is sired by JDH MR ELMO MANSO and out of the polled MISS V8 510/6.
This bull is in high calibre company with National Champion (maternal and paternal) siblings like JDH Babette Manso and Miss V8 100/7 (P).
MR V8 279/7 (P) is being used in both red and grey herds. 2015 will see his first Australian calves born. Australian Semen Rights are exclusively held in a four way partnership (including Bulloak Brahmans) and not available on the open market here.
CANADIAN GIGANTE (IMP US) (P)
S: MR KK 03P (P)
D: MISS HH 6/5
He's line bred and carries 40 years of American polled breeding top and bottom in his pedigree and can be traces back to the Sealy and Sugarlands bloodlines.
Mr CANADIAN GIGANTE 10W (P) is of moderate frame and thick chested all the way through to his butt. Beautiful topline, deep bodied and correct on his feet and has a gentle nature.
Mr CANADIAN GIGANTE 10W (P) is expected to produce around 70% polled / scurred offspring from horned females.
His first Australian calf for this season has arrived and it's a beauty! Unfortunately, due to an unacceptable low pregnancy rate using A.I.(2 out of 40) here in Australia, we have ceased using his straws and are now in negotiations over this matter with the owners, David and Claire Andrews in Canada.
MR V8 1/4 (IMP US) (P)
S: + MR V8 202/3 (IMP US) (H)
D: MISS HET OF SUGARLAND 78
Quality heritage polled breeding that doesn't come any better or rarer than this V8 bull. Sired by the immortal MR V8 202/3, a Vanguard bull (Maternal Performance Sire and Register of Renown) in the American ABBA registry. His dam, Miss Het of Sugarlands (P), is absolute classic Sugarlands polled breeding and is a full sister to Sugarlands Esto 225 (P).
Mr V8 is having a revival in America with phenomenal results. He produced 9 show quality smooth polled heifers from the one flush for the Schneider Ranch in Texas USA. Bred to our full Hudgins horned females, over two seasons he produced 99% polled and scurred offspring. His calves are atypically born robust, very correct in the feet and quiet natured. His heifers are all keeper quality and have been retained in our stud herd.
Mr V8 1/4 (P) died early, struck by lightning while at a collection centre. His semen is scarce in America. His legacy will live on through the current polled breeding programs being done both in Australia and America.
+S MR. MANSO 338 (P)
S: +S MR. MANSO 135 (B 802253)
D: +S MS FOSTER 249 (C 846003)
First look at this bull as a 7 month old calf and blind Freddie could tell he was something special.
Now, as a mature bull, he doesn't disappoint. Very correct, moderate frame with a kind, gentle disposition.
His polled lineage evolves through Mr V8 212/3 (P), the only polled Register of Renown bull in America.
Spanky has a good mixture of quality bloodlines, no inbreeding in sight!
Will be bred to our V8 51/6 (P) and eldest 1/4 (P) females this season.
Is a favourite with owners, the Schneider family from San Antonio.
MCC MR. PUERTO RICO 27 (P)
S: MR. 4E 106/3 (B 838423)
D: MISS DOUBLE A 133/3 (C 829262)
RICO is one BIG bull, his sheer size is phenomenal!
He will correct size and put frame back into his offspring without losing the polled genetics.
RICO stands correct and features a beautiful strong topline , coming straight from the hump.
His pedigree features a heavy influence of V8 and Hudgins bloodlines with the polled gene deriving from the renown old Hudson Cattle Company herd.
Bred to horned cows, he has produced a very high percentage of polled offspring for the Schneider family in San Antonio, Texas. We are really looking forward to seeing what RICO can do here.
JME MR SUVA CRAT 225 (P)
S: CSCC MR SUVA DIDOR 163
D: + JME MS MANSO 7 (P)
This is reliable Edwards polled breeding at its best. This bull has a proven track record as an exceptional sire and sure can produce the goods.
JME MR SUVA CRATA 225 (P) is the sire and grand sire of show champions and produces over 75% polled offspring from horned cows.
He is a very dark bull (from grey genetics) and an excellent pigment corrector.
JME MR SUVA CRATA 225 will breed grey calves from grey cows, red from red, and "black" from dark grey with black points.
JME Mr Suva Crata 225 corrects udders, sheaths and toplines. Also shapes very neat smooth polled crowns on his calves.
His puppy dog gentle nature will ensure this bull features highly in our breeding program this season.
MR. HCC 293/4 (P)
S: MR. V8 1/4 (P) (B 663735)
D: MISS MC 28 (C 500904)
A 1994 polled bull with a heavy V8 influence in his pedigree.
Bred by the renowned Hudson Cattle Company of Texas, Mr HCC 293/4 (P) was later sold to Canada. Today his genetics still live on with offspring in Australia, Canada, America and Germany.
We hold his last multiple straws available and will use them sparingly over our polled females of the future.
Our first calf by Mr HCC 293/4 (P) is a beautiful heifer out of a Mr V8 51/6 (P) polled cow. This is royal polled "Sugarlands 2" breeding, top and bottom.
Mr HCC 293/4 (P) produces approximately 60% polled offspring when bred to horned cows.
A very small birth weight bull whose calves grow at a rapid rate and are very efficient food converters!
LANCEFIELD S MONTEGO 4591/1 (P)
S: LANCEFIELD S KIRBY 3907/1 (P)
D: LANCEFIELD S MERYL MANSO 3252 (H)
With good EBV's and carcase evaluation, this young bull suits out polled breeding program perfectly.
"Monty" is soft, tons of skin and loose fleshing, thick boned and extremely docile.
He's Hudgin's blood with Australian polled bloodlines that can be traced back past 50 years.
At 22 months of age, 'Monty" has produced high quality post thaw semen straws. This semen collection was done at BBS Collection Centre at Rockhampton and tested by their government veterinarian, DR. Caeser Castaneda.
JDH MR MANSO 294/3 (IMP US) (H)
S: JDH MR MANSO 232/2
D: JDH LADY MANSO 421/2
JDH MR MANSO 294/3 or "Mr Henry" is on consignment to us from good friends Michael and Lisa James and family, Triton Farms in Louisiana.
This bull has really surprised us! Our first heifer calf by "Mr Henry" out of a JDH Woodman cow is truly impressive. So much so, we have confidently used him more this season to maintain the Hudgins bloodlines influence in our stud herd.
American results seems to favour him producing heifer offspring.
